Freebie Heart Cut Out Card

Hi everyone,

Today's freebie is another card that can be used for a number of occasions but I thought it might be useful with Valentines' Day coming up. There is enough room on the front to add an appropriate sentiment if required. I just added a few sticky gems to the centres of some of the flower shapes and used a rainbow blend paper as a backing.

Happy New Year and a freebie Card

 Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas, our was a bit hectic with trying to stop the kittens demolishing the Christmas Tree !!

I have a freebie card for you to help celebrate special occasions, I just cut it out and added a coloured insert but you could easily make it in to a shaker card by adding acetate to the back of the glass shape and filling with sequins or glitter.  Hope you like it and I wish you all a very Happy 2018.

Last freebie before Christmas

Freebie Snowflake Christmas Card

Hi everyone,

Sorry it's been so long since my last post but I have been busy trying to do some new designs for my Design Store as well as trying to get my own Christmas cards made and written. I got so many lovely comments from you wishing me well in my new venture so thank you for that, I really appreciate it and so far everything is going well.

This is the freebie I have for you today

I cut the base card from 250gsm card stock but the circle of snowflakes is quite delicate so I used 160 gsm card for that and it cut beautifully although I would recommend a sharp blade and take care when removing from mat !!

Important changes to my Website and a freebie Flower pop out card

Hi everyone,

Before I get on to the freebie I just want to let my customers know that I have made the decision to wind down my website. The main reasons for this is that a) it needs a major update  to make it more compatible with mobile devices and b) most people are looking for instant downloads these days and I have neither the time or expertise to do that myself. As I don't want to give up designing altogether I applied and have been accepted to become a Designer at craftsUprint. I have my own Shop there and am just starting to upload some of my designs. As a result of this after the 31st October it will not be possible to purchase files from my Shirley's Cards website and I shall also be retiring quite a lot of my older files so if there are any that you may want to purchase please do it before the 31st. I feel this will be a better arrangement all round as I shan't be as tied to my PC in the way I am know due to having to do email sales and maintenance plus I hope the ability to have direct downloads will benefit my customers. The downside is that I have to pay craftsUprint for the privilege but I am happy to do that. Also they do have a minimum purchase policy for anyone buying files but with so many talented designers to choose from I hope that won't be too much of a problem for anyone.

Anyway, enough of all that, here is the freebie I have for you today. I have called it a popout card as the main part of the cut out design stands up from the fold of the card, it comes complete with the insert to add some colour. It is a card that can be used for many occasions, I just quickly added a ribbon and bow to mine for the photograph. I hope you will find it useful.

Freebie Halloween Topper

Hi everyone and thanks for all the lovely comments re the last freebie and the kittens. Today they have managed to shut down my PC twice just by walking over the keyboard, not sure which keys do that but  I have now learnt to do regular saves when I am designing files or anything else come to that !!

Anyway the freebie today is for Halloween which is fast approaching. I would recommend cutting the top part on fairly thin card stock as it is quite intricate. I used 180 gsm and it cut beautifully. I am also going to cut just the top part from vinyl to stick on our door on the day.
