Heart Aperture Card

First post for a while as I have been busy with other things and time just flies.

For this card I created a heart shape frame with the couple in the middle and made two copies. I used the inside of one copy to make the card aperture, the second I cut in black card and layered it on to the aperture. On top of this I attached the filigree heart which I posted as a freebie back in July. I think it would make a nice Anniversary, Wedding or Engagement card by just changing the words - what do you think ?
I made the heart backing paper in my Illustrator program.

Template is available on my website

Cameo Spotlight challenge - Swimmer Aperture Card

This is the card I've made for the first Cameo Spotlight Challenge. The theme is Summer so I think this fits the bill. I found the template for the swimmer in a craft magazine and I scanned it in to Photoshop so I could save it as a jpeg then autotraced it in Studio. I also did the waves in Studio just by drawing rectangles the width of my card base but with varying depths then adding extra points to the tops using the edit points tool making sure that  'make curve' was selected. Then it was just a question of moving the handles round to make the wave shapes. The sun and sentiment are dxf files I made in Illustrator. All I had to do then was make a frame to form the card base and weld the various parts together to make the aperture. The backing was something I had in my stash.

Double Flower Aperture Card

Been playing around with swirls again and this is the result. The paper I use on the front is one I made some time ago for another card but I think it suits this one too. I thought some text would look good behind the aperture so came up with Happy Birthday design  Hope you like it, let me know what you think.
